Before following the steps make sure this trick only works if you have a new ios update(example, if you are on 10.2 then you can follow the steps but if you are on 10.3.1 then this won't work), if you are on latest ios then this trick won't work.

Steps to freeup space in iPhone

1. Open Settings on your iPhone.

   

2. Go to General then About then check your space.

   

3. Now, in General, click on Software Update.

   
   

4. Click on Download and Install.

   

5. There will be a notification showing Temporarily Remove Apps to Install Software Update, don't click on continue, Click on cancel.

   

6. If not the above notification then there will be this notification, just click on Close.

   

7. There you go, now go and check your storage.
